Guidelines speakers, oral presenters, and poster presentations
All speakers must present in person at the IMARS-15 Congress in Maastricht.
Presentation slides oral presenters
Please include the title slide with your name and title of your lecture at the start of your presentation, followed by a second slide disclosing any Conflict of Interest. You can simply list the conflicts on our second slide or write “Nothing to Disclose”.
If you are using a PowerPoint presentation (or any other PC-based application), please note that you have to deliver it on a USB Memory stick to one of the technicians in the lecture room as soon as you arrive at the Venue in the morning – and at least 2 hours before the start of the session.
Please note that only conference computers are used in the session halls. The native ratio of the projection on the screens in the halls is 16:9. The Conference will not be able to support lecture slides presented on personal computers.
If you include video clips in your PowerPoint presentation, be sure to test it with the technician in the lecture room at least 2 hours before the start of the session or as soon as you arrive at the venue in the morning.
To use MAC presentations on the PC compatible conference computer, please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before taking it to the lecture room:
- Convert it to PowerPoint or PDF.
- Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (Special characters might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint-based PC).
- Insert the images as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT – these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
Selected oral presentations: 10 minutes + 5 minutes discussion
Printed poster presentations
Poster presenters that registered to participate onsite in Maastricht are asked to print a one-page Poster in Portrait format.
Please note that posters will be presented in two shifts, in the Poster area. The exact shift times will be emailed to the presenters in July.
It is recommended that you stand at your Poster during the breaks.
Please check upon registration, the number of the poster board allocated to you. Please use the board with the same number.
Technical Specs
Please prepare your poster on one sheet of cardboard. The dimensions of the poster should not exceed 90 cm wide x 200 cm high. Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract. The text, illustrations, etc. should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet). Pins, tacks and technical equipment will be available for the mounting of posters. Staff will also be in the poster area to assist you.
