Prof. dr. Mark Cooper
Activation of RAGE in diabetes and its complications; a therapeutic target
Mark Cooper is the Head of the Department of Diabetes, Monash University and studied medicine and obtained his PhD at the University of Melbourne. He received the Eric Susman prize from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian Diabetes Society Kellion Award for his outstanding contribution to diabetes research in Australia. He has over 600 peer reviewed publications and was awarded the Claude Bernard Award from the EASD and the Edwin Bierman Award from the American Diabetes Association. He received an Order of Australia (Officer) in 2017.
